Pre-School Activities
‘Good Morning’ Time
In the mornings we now have a short ‘Good Morning’ group time just after 9am. This includes a wake-up song as well as talking to the children about the activities they can choose during the day.
Show & Share
The children are encouraged to take part in Show & Share, where they can bring something in or share with the group something they have done or some news in their family. Please don’t feel this is obligatory, but we do encourage the children to take part if they would like to.
Daily Activity
Each day we have a specific craft activity for the children to take part in and take home. Alongside this we have painting, drawing, building toys, imagination and role play, library, computer interactive learning and our wonderful all-weather outside area and garden full of dens and equipment, which the children love.
Themes
We have different themes planned throughout the autumn term, and we’ll keep you updated as to what the children will be doing. If you have a job or skill that would interest the children, we would love you to come and tell us. Last term we had a visit from a police car, which was very exciting for the children!
Trays
You will have met your keyperson now, and been shown your child’s peg and tray. Please can you empty your child’s tray at the end of every session, just leaving your child’s Learrning Journey folder, as this will be updated regularly.
Signing In & Out
Please sign in your child when you drop them at Pre-School, and sign them out when you collect. The signing book is kept just by the office. Please note, you officially take over responsibility for your child as you sign them out of the session. In the afternoons, we do need to get the room ready for the After School Club, so if you can take your children and meet up with friends once you are through the glass corridor that will be appreciated.
